ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Edward has specialised in the regulatory side of building surveying for over 20 years. He practices almost exclusively in the area of landlord and tenant and now spends much of his time dealing with dilapidations disputes and lease or contract related property matters.  He particularly likes the difficult and complicated larger claims at any stage of the lease process.  He has experience of all stages of the litigation process and is a keen promotor of ADR.

EXTERNAL PRESENTATIONS & PUBLICATIONS;

He is a past Chairman of the RICS Dilapidations Working Group and a member of the RICS panel of dilapidations experts. He writes extensively and regularly speaks at conferences and seminars on dilapidations and expert witness related issues.

EDUCATION, MEMBERSHIPS AND AWARDS

Edward has a Masters Degree in Construction Law and Arbitration from Kings College London. He qualified as a chartered building surveyor in 1988 and for the RICS panel of dilapidation experts in 2004. Edward became a RICS accredited mediator in 2008 and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
